The Puppy Chorus!
The girls, Emma and Francie sing along to "Emmet Otters Jugband Christmas" Do any of you remember this movie? My sister and I loved it!
After I uploaded that video, I was checking it out on my big screen and the girls couldn't figure out what in the world was going on!

Isabelle's Sweater
She'll let me put her sweater on as long as she doesn't have to lift one paw to help!

Sundresses for the Girls!
These pics were from early May before it got too hot for the girls to be out. They LOVE going on boat rides! For this trip they had on their new pink sundresses! You can't see, but they had sequined anchors on the backs! So Cute!

Boat Ride with the Girls!
We took a boat ride Sunday afternoon and decided that b/c it wasn't too hot that we would take the girls with us!!! So I put their sundresses on and packed up some water, snacks, pillows, towels and all the necessities you might need when taking your babies on a little outdoor adventure! We had such a great time! It got a little toasty at some points. Luckily, I had my little mini parasol to shade the girls! This was their first time on a river boat ride and they both LOVED it! Francie wanted to be right up front where she could see everything! Emma, as I expected, stayed very close so it was very difficult to get a pic of her as you will see below.
We saw all kinds of wildlife along the way. But the most exciting moment of the day was when we rounded a bend and saw a 10 foot alligator sunning on the bank of the river. As we approached it slowly eased into the river. I had my camera totally ready, but goofed and missed the shot b/c I simply couldn't believe my eyes! My whole life I've heard of gators being around the swampy areas of the river. But this was the first time I've ever seen one!! It was so exciting! Sorry I don't have a pic! =(

Francie goes fishing!
We were fishing off the back deck yesterday and Francie wanted some of the action too! She tried so hard to get that fish! She just about talked it to death! =) Emma kept her distance she wasn't too sure about the situation! Enjoy!

Field Trip to Petco!
Yea! We've been good girls so Mommie promised us a field trip to Petco!
Here we go sister!! I know just what treat I'm going to get!!
Sister, which toy are you gonna get? I've got my eye on this green slinky thing!! We can play with that one together!
Oh my favorite isle!! The "goodie goodie yum yum" isle of pure heaven! I want this one and this one and this one, oh and this one too, yeah, I really like those! Mom do you remember those chewy ones we got last time? Can we have those again?
If I could just get my paws on one of those mouses. I just wanna taste it a little bit!!

I thought I saw a birdie!
The weather was so nice today for the official first day of spring! - mid 70's and sunny! We spent alot of time outside! The girls love watching the birds and from time to think they can actually catch one. They looked so cute trying to figure out where the birdies disappeared to as they bolted towards the feeders. Luckily I had my camera with me and caught a couple of nice shots during my favorite time of days! I love the golden sunlight in the evenings. It always makes for more dramatic photos with the long shadows and golden glows!

The girls don't understand cows!
We took the girls for a 4x4 ride over the weekend! Francie loved it and wanted to see everything! Emma was shivering and just wanted to stay in my lap! We stopped by the field across from us and let the girls check out the cows! They hollered and yodeled! It was so funny! I don't know what they would have done if we'd let them out of the truck. They were trying so hard to talk to them but the cows just weren't understanding. Who knows what the cows thought of all the ruckus, but they stuck around for a while and stared at us!
Snowman for Granny!
It was such a surprise to see the snow in south Ga last weekend! It started on Friday night and melted away by Saturday afternoon. But we enjoyed it while it was here. We went riding around Saturday morning looking at all the beauty! David built a snowman for Granny right outside her sewing window! Of course, I had to get a snapshot of the girls next to him!! They didn't know what to think of this snow. Francie didn't like it so much, but that was no surprise b/c she doesn't even like to step in wet grass. Emma was the opposite, she was running this way and that way, making tracks! She was really mushing, my little snow dog!

New Pink Sweaters!
I hadn't shared any pics of my babies in a while so I thought I would do so tonight! These are their new pink sweaters!
Francie is holding the "sacred" pink puff! This is their treasured toy. Francie doesn't particularly like to share it with Emma but she will. It goes everywhere with them - even when we go outside! If for some reason she forgets it on our way back inside. I can say (spoken in a high-pitched very excited voice!) "Francie, go get your puff! Get that puff Francie!" and she will look all around in the area where she is standing for it. Finally, I have to point her in the right direction & she will eventually find it!
I LOVE my new couch covers! I got 2 queen size quilt-like comforters from TJ Maxx to throw over my couch in my studio!! The colors are so fun & inspiring!!

Been Busy Crafting!
I feel so bad for not having posted much lately, but I wanted you to know that I'm busy with lots of fun stuff up my sleeve! I'll be able to share some of it soon! But, some of it will have to wait til after Christmas b/c I'm crafting Christmas presents for my loved ones and they all read my blog! So you can see my perdicament (sp?)! =)
I thought I would share a few pictures I came across from last Christmas 2008 ...
This first photo is my 11' tree from last year! It was Christmas everywhere you looked in my house last year! There wasn't one thing un-decorated! Technically 2008 was our second Christmas in the cabin, but the first one with us living in it fully furnished and all. 2007 we were there but only had that red furnace and a blow up bed!
I made this yummy garlic cheese spread and then shaped it with my hands and stuck sliced almonds in to look like a pinecone, then finished it with rosemary sprigs!
This is me and my 3 girls! From left to right; Emma (4 yrs), Isabelle (10 yrs), Francie (4 yrs)
While the family was there we grilled out and the girls got to have a little fun too! I let them really have at it for a few minutes, but I didn't want them to mess up their pretty Christmas dresses!! =)
Emma was really into it! She did not want to let go!! =)

The girls enjoyed ribs too!
David spoils them so bad! And they love it! They went crazy over their treats!
Emma is a little more well mannered than Francie!

Cornbread got his share of ribs too! This was him cleaning up after his feast!

Nap time for the girls!
These two are inseparable! This is their usual spot on the back of the couch right behind me! I think sometimes they get annoyed with all my picture taking shenanigans! They both had a birthday last month. They are 2 weeks apart! 5 years old! I can't believe it. They grow up so fast! =)
