Hi Tiffany,
we get a lot of "thuds" on our kitchen window too. We have had to revive a few bird also. They see reflection of trees/blue sky/our workshop in the glass and think they can fly over it to the trees beyond. A successful remedy we have found is to tie a CD to a thread and hang it from the top of the window, letting it hand down in front of the window half way down. The spinning and colour flashes off of it keep them away. HTH
