Pink Dogwood Blossom

I haven't painted since high school either. It is something I've kept saying.... "i'm gonna start painting again" for years... Well, i went and bought some water color pencils from Hobby Lobby (I LOVE that store!) and some watercolor paper. This was the first thing i've tried. A pink dogwood flower! The pencils will take some getting used to, but i'll keep trying. The leaf looks like crayon... ugh. And I wasn't really sure what the middle of the flower was suppose to look like.

Obviously, I need some major practice. I've been looking up tutorials on google and watch some helpful videos on YouTube. This is gonna take time, but i'm excited!
