Ruth 1:16 - Bible Art Journaling with Colored Pencils

Ruth 1:16 is one of my favorite Bible verses and when I saw the inspirational page from Melissa (Instagram @fischtales) (Etsy: Fisch Tale Designs) I just knew I had to color this!!  I just love the shades of pink and sky blue!  It is so yummy to look at!  I used my watercolor pencils, but NO water!!  If you have a moment, check out Melissa's art! It is so inspirational, whimsical, colorful, and happy!

If you are interested in the Documented Faith facebook group, everyone is welcome to join us!

Oh, and if you enjoy using Distress Ink in a more traditional style of watercoloring, then you've got to come over to my Facebook Group  Distress Ink for Watercolor! We'd love to have you join us!

Thanks Amber! All of my pencils are watercolor pencils. They're just like regular colored pencils except the pigment dissolves with water. I didn't use any water on this page though. There are 4 sets I use interchangeably b/c their shades are different. For instance, Pink in one brand is a different pink in another brand. I use Staedtler Karat http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/watercolor-pencils-and-sticks/staedtler-karat-watercolor-pencils-and-crayons.htm?utm_medium=cse&utm_source=nextag&CA_6C15C=894994625 I use Prismacolor http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/watercolor-pencils-and-sticks/prismacolor-watercolor-pencil-sets.htm I use Derwent http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/watercolor-pencils-and-sticks/derwent-watercolor-pencils-and-sets/derwent-artists-watercolour-pencil-sets.htm I also use the Derwent Inktense http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/watercolor-pencils-and-sticks/derwent-watercolor-pencils-and-sets/derwent-inktense-colored-pencil-sets.htm The Inktense are a little bit different. They are super vibrant and more like an ink. When they dry they are permanent. Hope this helps!! Thanks for stopping by!

I am looking to start a journaling bible but I can't find the right bible to use. I want a wide margin bible but with no lines on the side. Where did you get yours?

Hey Meghan, Here is the bible I am using. Believe it or not, it actually does have lines. They are just so faint that you can't hardly see them. They don't bother me at all. I don't even notice them anymore! =) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/158134838X/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
